Moving Day Hazards — $50–$250 Additional Charge

If the home is deemed hazardous on moving day, an additional fee ranging from $50 up to $250 will apply depending on the severity of conditions. A home may be classified as hazardous under any of the following conditions:

• Extreme uncleanliness — excessive clutter, hoarding conditions, or unsanitary living environments that obstruct safe movement through the home
• Animal dander & odor — heavy pet dander, fur accumulation, or strong animal odors that pose respiratory or allergic risks to our crew
• Animal or human feces/urine — visible or widespread waste present on floors, furniture, or belongings
• Chemical exposure — presence of strong chemical fumes, solvents, pesticides, or airborne irritants that create an unsafe breathing environment
• Hazardous waste or materials — biohazardous materials, mold growth, asbestos-containing materials, or any regulated substances requiring special handling
• Pest or rodent infestation — active or evidence of roaches, bed bugs, rodents, or other infestations throughout the home
• Structural hazards — unstable flooring, broken stairs, exposed wiring, water damage, or other conditions that pose a physical safety risk
• Unlivable conditions — no working utilities (electricity, water), extreme temperatures, or any environment that falls below basic habitability standards
• Excessive moisture or flooding — standing water, severe water damage, or high humidity levels that create slip hazards or mold risk
• Smoke or fire damage — heavy smoke residue, soot-covered belongings, or fire-damaged areas within the home

This charge ($50–$250) covers the additional time, protective equipment, and precautionary measures required to safely complete your move under these conditions. The exact amount is assessed on moving day based on severity. Our crew's health and safety is our top priority.
